Ruralco Group chief govt Robert Sharkie is resigning after six years within the position and eight years with the co-operative.
“I’ve completely loved my time at Ruralco, the challenges it has supplied and I’m very pleased with Ruralco’s achievements throughout my time on the helm,” says Sharkie.
“It’s the dedication and the fervour of the individuals who work for Ruralco that has made these achievements potential and I commend them for his or her efforts and want them effectively,” he provides.
Sir David Carter, chairman of Ruralco, says he has accepted Sharkie’s determination with combined feelings.
“Rob’s contribution to Ruralco has been important, however I respect his determination that the time is correct for him to pursue one other chapter in his life,” Carter says. “He leaves with my full help and greatest needs for his future endeavours.”
Ruralco’s GM individuals and tradition Tony Aitken will step into the position of performing chief govt whereas the board initiates its recruitment course of for a brand new chief govt.
Aitken comes from a background in individuals management and was a part of Synlait’s journey because it grew from 140 employees to over 1,000.
He’ll start within the performing chief govt place at Ruralco on 1 September 2023.
