West Bengal: Fire Guts ATM as Robbers Try to Break Open Cash Machine with Gas-cutter – News18

Hearth broke out at an ATM in northern West Bengal’s Siliguri metropolis within the early hours of Tuesday when robbers have been attempting to interrupt open the machine with a gas-cutter, police stated. The incident occurred in Shib Mandir in Matigara police station space of the town round 2.30 am, they stated.

A gang of robbers entered the ATM of a nationalised financial institution, downed the shutter and with a gas-cutter, they started breaking open the machine, police stated. Quickly, the machine caught fireplace and amid this, a police patrol van that was on the rounds within the space arrived.

The scuffle broke out between the robbers and the on-duty police personnel, even because the ATM was up in flames. The robbers, nevertheless, managed to flee.
