WAVERLY, Ohio (AP) — Police say a lady is dealing with a baby endangerment cost after her toddler discovered a gun in her purse and by chance fired it in a southern Ohio Walmart retailer final week.
The Waverly Police Division mentioned the lady instructed officers who responded shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday that the 2-year-old boy took her Taurus 9mm firearm from her purse, and it went off.
Police mentioned the bullet went into the ceiling of the shop, and the kid was left with a minor damage to his brow “as a consequence of contact with the journal.”
Police mentioned the lady, whose identify wasn’t launched, was taken into custody and charged in Pike County Courtroom with endangering youngsters. The boy was launched to the care of a guardian and brought to an pressing care facility, police mentioned.
