Officers responded to a reported stabbing at a residence within the 300 block of Bruce Avenue round 1 a.m. Friday. There, officers discovered an individual with a stab wound to the arm.
Investigators decided a male suspect had illegally entered the house, stabbed somebody, after which forcibly kidnapped a feminine at knifepoint.
A number of hours later, the suspect returned the feminine to the residence and was taken into custody.
Jamie Hamelin, 31, is charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, assault inflicting bodily hurt, forcible confinement, and break and getting into.
