The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating Boeing and Atlas Air after a 747 aircraft taking off from Miami skilled an engine hearth.
Atlas Air flight 95 was departing from Miami Worldwide Airport round 10.30pm on Thursday heading to Luis Muñoz Marin Worldwide Airport in Carolina, Puerto Rico, three miles southeast of San Juan.

GE Aerospace, which manufactures the engines used on the 747-8 aircraft, stated, “Security is our first precedence, and GE Aerospace is offering technical help to our buyer, the FAA and the Nationwide Transportation Security Board as they examine the incident.”
In a video posted to social media, flames might be seen spouting from the plane as an onlooker gasps.
“Oh my god! It’s on hearth,” a girl be heard saying within the footage.
