British pop legend Lulu has lifted the lid on her relationship with David Bowie.
Lulu discovered enormous success within the Sixties and Nineteen Seventies recording a James Bond theme advert successful the Eurovision Music Contest in 1969 wit the sing Increase Bang-a-Bang.
She discovered a legion of recent followers within the Nineties when she collaborated with UK boy ban Take That releasing hit single Relight My Fireplace.
The Glasgow singer had simply divorced her first partner, former Bee Gees star Maurice Gibb in 1973, when she met the Ziggy Stardust legend, who died aged 69 in 2016, reported The Solar.
Talking on the Rosebud podcast, she stated: “I had a relationship with David Bowie that was sort of wonderful actually”.
“We recognised one thing in one another.
“After which once I went to New York after the primary hit – fairly a number of months after the primary hit he was concerned in a way of life that was just a little scary to me. And I ran,” she stated.
“At that time for positive I sensed hazard.
“And I’d say, and I’ve by no means stated this earlier than I don’t suppose, that I virtually threw myself into John Frieda’s arms and I married John.
“It was like ‘that was hazard and this was not hazard’.”
Lulu is about to embark on her remaining tour after 60 years on the street known as Champagne for Lulu.
